HISTORY

The Rockslide was founded in 1994 by three friends who had a hunch that microbrew pubs would be the "thing" of the future. Scott Howard, Sean Forey, and Mike Bell were on a business trip in Utah in 1992 when they experienced their first microbrew pub. From that very moment, the concept of The Rockslide was born. The doors opened in 1994, and for 30 years under the same ownership the Rockslide has become a staple of downtown Grand Junction. In 2024, The Rockslide was purchased by local businessman Uwe "Trout" Kirch and his wife, Amy Kirch who intend to keep the legacy alive and thriving.

"We feel blessed to have this opportunity and are humbled by our amazing staff, who are the true reason behind The Rockslide's success. Our vision for The Rockslide is to honor the past while embracing the future."

- Trout & Amy
